Emails May Not Be From Who They Seem To Be. Don’t Automatically Trust Emails From Friends and Colleagues.

Malicious users can send emails that appear to have come from anyone. An email from a friend or colleague may have come from a hacked account. Contact your friend or colleague directly if you have concerns about an email they have sent to you and do not transmit personal or sensitive information through email. Do not respond directly to the email before you are certain that it came from a valid source.
